This game was surprisingly super fun!I enjoyed the game so much. The atmosphere, the surroundings, and the old nostalgia with no music, but just pure silence. All these amazing factors made this game very engaging. To top it off, THE CREATOR IS SUPER AWESOME!
(Also it was super funny to read the protagonist's text that just shows him swearing or fitting a swear word into any situation)
I enjoyed this game so much, thanks for reaching out to me!
I just finished the Karantiin Gameplay stream and I want to congratulate you, it really is a very scary and interesting game in its mechanics. I hope you can continue expanding it, the open world looks promising!
Amazing work for an early Alpha build demo! Can't wait to see how the development progresses and what the finished product eventually becomes! Keep up the good work!
Such a promising demo! I haven't played an FPS in too long and you've reminded me how fun they are, even if a bit frustrating, or shall I say unforgiving at times ;)
The game ran perfectly, the sound effects were all very good (the song at the beginning was incredible) and all of the weapons I got to play with worked exactly as they should. I will definitely be trying the ones I missed in the open world mode and I am looking forward to trying out the wave mode too, love that you included one!
There were a couple moments, actually ONE moment where I was almost ready to throw in the towel but I am so glad I didn't. It was a really fun challenge and felt so good once you start finding more powerful weapons. Can't wait to build a giant arsenal in the full game.
You have a lot of talent, I look forward to the finished game and whatever else you make in the future. Thank you for this fantastic demo :)
This game is great, but obviously not finished. I love the Resident Evil style inventory management and gunplay. The only complaint I have is the difficulty of the game even though the game called it self "unforgiving" and how silent the game is when no action is happening. Other than that the game is really fun keep up the great work
I finally got to play the game! Sorry it took me a while :(
First I would like to say thank you for reaching out! I thought that was very cool.
Second, I love what you're doing with the game! It's really fun and it runs smoothly (guns reloading animation and sound effects is a nice touch). The zombies (or infected?) have cool designs and animations ( I like how some run, walk, alert others etc). I do wish there was more variety of enemies (possibly big muscular monster similar to the tank in Left4Dead, jumpers, crawlers etc).
Third, I wish there was stacking for certain things like bandages since it's essentially cloth which can be compacted BUT if you're are doing that intentionally its fine~ I also would have like an option to drink/eat things without putting it into my inventory first to use it.
Overall, Idk if I missed any points/ forgot. All I can say is that I loved the game A LOT and hopefully it gets a lot of recognition it deserves~ I can't wait to see more from you :)
from the videos that ive seen the game looks really fun but every time i open any of the game modes its just a black screen. do you have any idea how to fix that?
1. Go to options and press apply, then try again. 2. Your pc might be missing some visual c++ redistributable package files. 3. make sure you have directx updated or installed.
If you see people can play this is because they have these packages installed, because usually other games installers have them, but with this its only a zip file and doesnt have the nessesary files in package.
Finished the game after a few hours and I got to say I want to try out the VR version. Got scared a few times already and can't imagine to get jumped on by those things. The gunplay is actually sooooo good! Didn't expect it. The inventory system is very reminiscent of Resident Evil games, which is always welcome. I'll wait for future updates. Would love to see different enemies for example and more atmospheric sounds maybe and vfx in general like mist creeping in through corridors or lights flickering and whatnot.
Thank you for playing, the doors having problems and bugs you experienced were happening because of very low fps. Minimum system requirements to play this well are 2gb of vram, 8gb of ram and the loadings screens are instant with an ssd.
Very fun survival horror game! These games aren't entirely my favorite but this one was well done and it had a really helpful tutorial when these types of games typically just drop you in without any instructions. Great job!
I really can't stand it,the game crashes and quits all the time. It's been falling apart since it was released and I can't play it. Every one of your updates didn't work, so I got a new laptop. To be honest, I really enjoyed the game, but all I could do was repeat the tutorial. How do I open it correctly? Is it me?
go to options and press apply, this should fix the crash issue. It does that because its missing options file. With the apply it creates it. Also make sure you have all the nessesary direct x and visual files to run any unity applications. And make sures you dont run the game from zip/rar file, make sure to unzip it first and allow the game to create save files inside the folder.
I'm sad I missed the email (by 2 months) from the developer to try this game out, because I absolutely loved it! Had a lot of elements in what I look for in a game these days. I loved that there was a tutorial and graphics/quality options because you don't see that often with an indie game. Sorry it took me 2 months to play, and here's a gameplay video I made to show it off to the world. Took just over an hour to finish it up (I assume, wasn't sure if there was anything past the level I end the video on). Extremely well done!
Thank you for the amazing feedback, there is one more thing you can try. The wavemode in the gamemodes tab. Overall I loved your gameplay video! And thank you for leaving a rating!
I really enjoyed trying out the demo game controls were smooth and fairly easy to learn . The graphics were extremely good and looked excellent. I also loved the fact that the music was limited as it really added to the atmosphere of the game.
Only thing that I think needed adding was a slightly larger cursor as I had a bit of trouble seeing it sometimes. Also I think a game map could be a good addition as I got lost quite a few times.
Although I did find smashing the doors down helped me see where I had been sort ofd like a trail of bread crumbs.
I will definitely be keeping my eye on future updates.
So far you are the second person asking this, but answer is it can be done. But if someone helps to test this is even better, because i don't have a access to linux.
Excuse me, I ever read all comments and watch gamers playthrough either. Might I help you, Karantiin as well. If it runs in weak laptop as mine. It will runs in almost linux desktop. And sorry again to invade the Argent Arcent comments. :)
Overall i see that it ran without any issues, only issue is pc performance, overall it ran fine from start to end and that's cool! I can say this program you have for linux works really well.
Thanks to your reply. I really appreciated your game and your feedback about winehq. Well, you're pretty right. I'm mean your can answer for others who says, sometimes ; - "Do you have this version for linux? I would like try. ", here it is. Use the winehq in your linux distro, dude, I have pretty sure the game will runs very fine! Dumpster used in Lubuntu 20.04 into a laptop and runs. Of course it will runs in your setup. ;) Nice to meet you, buddy! You deserve best regards, you're very kind! <3
i really enjoyed the game play and i will be trying again soon plus i will be doing the next update, contact me anytime to give it a test run, one thing i did notice was the ash-trays that are around always have a look on them saying (open) not hold or grab etc but loved the game and guns.
*seen update, thanks for the ash-tray open bug fixed*
Yes, thank you! The ashtray bug is a funny bug. I didn't even realise i had it until the first 2.0 video came out. That's why im so thankful for all you youtubers out there. You guys may not know, but when i watch all the gameplays, most youtubers actually help me to fix bugs and improve the gameplay. Its just the way of finding them. :D
Here's my take on the game! I had a blast exploring this world, shooting up some infected, and surviving! I would love to see this game come together as a full-length adventure!

Genuinely a great survival/horror game! Hard to believe one person did all this, I can't wait to see the end product!
Your gameplay video is a masterpiece!
First game in the video-- thanks for asking my girlfriend to try the game out. :)
Thank you for playing!
I enjoyed your game a LOT, it needs to be adjusted the difficulty a bit cause some of the early levels are harder than later ones.
Thanks again for telling me to try your game, I hope it grows more
